§03A real report, rebuilt

These are real reports from the app, rebuilt here so you can poke at them. Drag through the clip and watch each phase light up.

The footage is stand-in stock video. The original clips never left the athletes' phones. That's rather the point.

Strong

1 rep detected

A big step forward. The backward lean is gone, replaced by a dynamic forward recovery step, with an excellent racket drop and active forearm pronation. Bringing the toss a little lower and further forward would finish off a very effective serve.

Phase breakdown 06

What's good 03

  • Excellent forward weight transfer and recovery step into the court, fixing earlier balance issues.
  • Deep, fluid paddle drop creating a highly efficient kinetic chain.
  • Pronounced forearm pronation at contact, for power and a downward angle.

What to fix 01

  • The ball toss is still slightly higher than ideal, forcing a minor pause before the upward strike.

Corrective drills 02

  • Controlled toss drill: release the ball strictly to eye-level height for a faster, more explosive tempo.
  • Forward-lean serves: put a cone one step inside the baseline and step over it straight after contact.

Focus on this next

Toss the ball

Release from around head height, up and slightly in front of your hitting shoulder. Toss just high enough that your paddle at full extension meets the ball near the top of its arc. A consistent toss matters far more than a high one.
